Amy Winehouse’s label rejects her new songs. The songs Amy wrote while she was in the tropical islands recovering from drugs.  And the funny reason is you’ll never guess why Amy’s label rejected them!

No doubt, Amy was inspired while on vacation.  Her music took on a reggae tone and the record management people didn’t like it!  From MTV News:

Inspired by her months in St Lucia Wino has apparently recorded demos with a Caribbean flavor for her third album .
However, The Sun claims her record label Island- the home of reggae- are less than happy with the new direction. A source told the paper: “She seems to have ditched her vintage soul sound and is now heavily influenced by Reggae.
“Her bosses don’t think it’s a wise move to change her style so sharply and have told her that.”

I think the record should be so overjoyed that she isn’t dead from an OD, they should accept whatever demos she records.  She is alive and looking better than she has in months.  Who cares what sound Amy adopts!  Many artists have crossed genres and been successful.
