Real Housewives of New York City star Countess Luann de Lesseps has separated from Count Alexandre de Lesseps. LuAnn and Alexandre have been married for 16 years and have 2 children together. According to sources, LuAnn began to feel uneasy when Alexandre wasn’t returning her calls when in Europe. The two often spent loads of time apart — her main residence being in New York City and his in France and other parts of Europe.

According to Page Six, LuAnn was told via e-mail that Alexandre had met an Ethiopian woman and the two were serious. How strange. He didn’t even have the nerve to call her, but felt as if his mistress’ nationality was pertinent information? Really classy, Count. The column said:
“Luann was blindsided. She was just devastated…They have basically lived apart for many years — he lives in Europe and comes and goes as he pleases, but she never thought this would happen. It has been very rough for her and the children [Victoria and Noel], but she’s taking the high road and will remain friends with him,” the source added. “She has no intention of making it bitter or becoming angry. She’s just trying to come to terms with [the separation and impending divorce]. She feels this is the ultimate test for her to handle this with dignity and grace.”
It’s too bad her book, Class with the Countess, is written already and set to hit shelves in April. We can just see it now: Chapter 12: How To Deal With A Philandering Aristocratic Husband With Ease.
