Rihanna will not press charges against Chris Brown. The singer said she has had a change of heart and will not press charges. Raise your hand if you are saddened and disgusted by this turn of events.

This was such a high profile case of domestic battering that may have been able to change people’s mind about it. Except instead of turning this event in to an educational event, Rihanna is proving that the classic abuse cycle is alive and well. From The Sun:
The 21-year-old is refusing to help with their investigation after rekindling her romance with the singer.
But detectives may still have a case against Brown, 19, and will hand their file to the Los Angeles County District Attorney later this week.
A police source said: “Rihanna says she doesn’t want to testify against him. She has had a change of heart and doesn’t want the case to proceed.
“However detectives are still building their case based on what she originally told them and accounts of witnesses.
Thank goodness the police are still proceeding. But how much of a punishment can Chris get if Rihanna won’t testify? A slap on the wrist?

I agree with v – and – what a horrible example for young people. Its very sad and this won’t be the last time he hits her and then whatever future women he may have…terrible.
the cops should get him for everything they can – if she is strong enough to do it – they need to do it for her – then he should spend some time in prison – i am sure he would be very popular and learn how it feels to be on the receiving end of abuse.
Hope the cops can make the case without her testifying.
She needs to see this for what it is before she is stuck in a cycle that
has no way out but pain ,suffering and maybe even death which will
be hers.
So said because friend of mine died because the husband was an abuser he shot her in front of their young kids.
He turned himself in but she was dead and the kids tramitized. Now he would go to jail and the kids would no longer have ethier of them.
There was nothing her family could do to stop it. We grew up with them I recalled her as a girl just so sad. Nice girl lovely girl..freinds never mean to me.
She was beautiful , intelligent young woman who loved the wrong man.
When my dad’s old freind told us I was so said as kids we played together and I loved their home . Large loving family she had but no one knew she kept it from them.
While some may have the finacial means to get out the LoVE for the abuser keeps them in it.
She needs to get out at least ….
