Ashton Kutcher beat CNN in Twitter followers. Ashton challenged the news network that he could surpass them in Twitter followers, and by gone it—Ashton Kutcher did! That’s the miracle of the Internet, folks. Ashton should really thank all the entertainment blogs that picked up on his vanity project.

At a little after midnight, Ashton surpassed CNN, but alas, the channel beat him out by 2:15 a.am. Regardless, nobody (not even John Mayer!) had reached a million followers, causing Ashton and Demi Moore to pop champagne and do a victory dance to Kool and the Gang‘s “Celebration” reports usmagazine.com.
“This is David versus Goliath,” Kutcher said. “This just shows how people want to get information. It is about us. It means that one man can have a voice as loud as a media network.”
