Chace Crawford wants vacated Footloose role. We all know Zac Efron ditched the role because he was being typecast, so Chace seemed to have jumped at the offer. He wants to get out of his ‘gay’ stereotype and get jiggy with the women! But can he sing?

Chace looks good enough to replace Zac, but can he sing and dance? Course, who knew Kevin Bacon could dance all those years ago? From E! Online:
Soon after word got out that Zefron was singing a different tune about taking on the role originated by Kevin Bacon, Crawford’s name was popping up on entertainment and gossip blogs and websites as the top suggested man to replace him.
The remake was put on the fast track in the fall for a 2010 release after Efron & Co. hit box-office gold with the third installment of the High School Musical movie franchise.
Whether Crawford has the musical chops to pull it off remains to be seen (and heard). But we think Crawford could easily fill Bacon’s shoes.
Reps for Crawford and the movie did not immediately comment.
Can anyone be better than Kevin Bacon? I don’t know….
