Heidi Klum posed for German Vogue this week on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills. It’s good to see Heidi doing some high-fashion, after hosting Project Runway for six seasons. It’s like a breath of avant-garde fresh air to see her in someĀ complicated clothing ala Christian Siriano. Heidi is looking feirce! And not one bit “tranny mess.”

It’s also interesting to see her doing something out of Agyness Deyn‘s book, seeing as Heidi (I know this from an E! True Hollywood Story, fyi) was considered too “wholesome” “generic” and “safe” for high fashion. It wasn’t until she convinced the swimsuit Gods to allow her sickeningly perfect body to be on the cover of Sports Illustrated, and then Victoria’s Secret that Klum began to etch a career for herself with the big dogs.
Oh, and get this, Klum was also considered too short (at five-foot-nine, for godsakes) and too curvy to do runway. Absolutely insane.
