Casey Aldridge, the father of Jamie Lynn-Spears’ 8-month-old daughter, Maddie is in a Jackson, Mississippi hospital after a bad car accident last night. Jamie Lynn [Britney Spears' little sister] is at his side.

 A source tells Radar Online: Aldridge was driving home at 1:30 a.m. Sunday when he wrecked his Ford F-250 with two male pals in the car, one of whom broke his collar bone. The source adds that Casey has a hematoma and doctors fear he has a blood clot in his brain. He may be heading into surgery.

On the other hand, a family source told People that Aldridge suffered “a cracked skull” and had been “in and out” of consciousness. “It’s not as serious as we thought at first,” as reports by NY Daily

Casey was charged with careless operation of a motor vehicle — a misdemeanor.  Police said there was no indication of alcohol or drugs involved in the accident. Aldridge, 19 was attending a cousin’s bachelor party;  Casey and some friends decided to drive off to go crabbing.
