Josh Hartnett blames sickness on the water. Josh was recently taken from his hotel and spent about a week in the hospital. Not many details were released at the time, other than it was a stomach ailment, until now.

Josh seems like a nice guy, who tries to keep out of the spotlight and live a semi-normal life. When he was taken to the hospital, some eyebrows were raised as to the cause. Many suspected drugs or alcohol, of course. From US Weekly:
Hartnett was rushed to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in L.A. at 1:45 a.m. from celebrity hot spot Cheateau Marmont, but his rep told Us then it was a “flare up” of an ongoing gastrointestinal problem that also plagued him while starring in the London stage version of Rain Man.
The media was looking for something sinister, which he claims wasn’t the case, even though they looked hard. And he is so right…the media does try to latch on to whatever they can find, especially if it appears like a drug problem from someone who hasn’t had one. Why is that? People should support people and not want to see them get torn down. Mean people stink! Josh is a cool guy, leave him alone.
