Lily Allen is in love with John Mayer. Or at least Lily thinks she may be in love with the man and fellow crooner. But is Lily being funny or just trying to get attention to her lagging tour and album sales?

We all know Lily runs hot and cold, depending on what foreign substances are in her body at the time. She can shoot her mouth off (Elton John and awards show), she can ignore another drunk (Lindsay Lohan on stage) or she can declare all out war on people who she thinks have offended her (Perez Hilton and Katy Perry). So, when she declares she is in love via Digital Spy, I think she has alternatives in mind.
The ‘Not Fair’ singer wrote on her Twitter page that she had discovered her feelings for Jennifer Aniston’s ex-boyfriend while watching a recording of his live shows.
Allen said: “I think I’m in love with John Mayer.
“I watched a DVD of one of his concerts last night, on the bus. His guitar playing is mesmerising. Sexy.”
Again – I don’t get it about John. Why is he sexy? Why do girls want him? I get Lily was caught in the moment, but I still think she is looking for attention and dollars from sales. You think?
