Zac Efron Beats Hannah Montana
Zac Efron and his movie beat Hannah Montana for the #1 spot this weekend. The two Disney powerhouses – Miley Cyrus and Zac Efron – dueled it out for the tween population this weekend when their movies, Hannah Montana and 17 again were both going for the top of the box office. Zac Efron and 17 Again came out the winners!

Zac’s movie is a comedy about a man heading back to his 17th year – yikes! Miley’s Hannah Montana is more a drama, about the life of Montana and the decisions she has to make. But Hannah had a big movie week last week. According to the NY Daily News:
Teen heartthrob Zac Efron stole the box-office crown from Miley Cyrus as “17 Again” topped the ticket-sales chart for the weekend.
The tween flick brought in a better than expected $24.1 million and sent last week’s winner, Cyrus’ “Hannah Montana: The Movie,” from first to fourth place with $12.7 million in earnings.
That’s not chump change! Both movies did well, but Miley’s may be less than expected. Her popularity has dipped since she had some online photo scandals, picked up a 20 year old boyfriend and adopted an entitlement attitude. When she grows up she can do better…I hope! Zac Efron can do no wrong right now.
