Chace Crawford will star in the remake of Footloose. Crawford, the “Gossip Girl“ cutie will reprise the role that made Kevin Bacon a super heartthrob back in 1984. Chace wanted this role soon after the word got out that Zac Efron has backed out of it.

As for the director, it’s Kenny Ortega, the mastermind behind the “High School Musical” movies.
Chace definitely has the looks but what about his singing and dancing talents? Methink surely he can be trained.. hello, this is Hollywood where dreams come alive.
