Rumor has it Johnny Depp may play Frank Sinatra in a new Marin Scorsese directed biopic. Scorsese is in talks to develop a movie outlining the life of Frank Sinatra, and Universal Studios’ first pic for the leading role is none other than Johnny Depp. We’re all for this. Anyone who can make Hunter S. Thompson and Willy Wonka sexy, could completely illuminate a role like Frank Sinatra. We’re getting hot just thinking about it.

The L.A. Times caught wind of this first, saying Depp won’t be expected to sing:
“The movie will use Sinatra‘s own recordings, thanks to a deal with Frank Sinatra Enterprises, with involvement of the Sinatra estate and Warner Music Group. Besides, Scorsese and Depp have been strangers in the night for a long time and have never worked together. So it would be an interesting combo.”
Bravo, bravo, bravo.
