News reports are now saying Jon Gosselin and Kate Gosselin — of the famed Jon and Kate plus 8 — have an open marriage. Some are saying Jon and Kate haven’t been together for years but signed contracts pretending so in order to keep their very successful television show. It appears, however, that all the fake publicity about Jon and Kate’s philandering has caused their ratings to skyrocket.

Associatedcontent.com says:
According to the same sources, Kate has already terminated the marriage, and though it wasn’t released as to why she did that, it is certainly going to spark more and more rumors about what is going on behind closed doors. When she terminated the marriage, she then allegedly presented Jon with a contract that explicitly lays out the details of their “relationship” from that point forward. This could be a very damning contract if it all turns out to be true, and it is certainly not going to shine any sort of positive light on this family or their children if it turns out that the American people are just being scammed.
Wait now. Will someone remind us why we should care again?

With all the poublished confessions and disclosures, I am to the point that I don’t believe that anything about Jon and Kate is real. I am ready to believe that the entertainment business IS all about money, though. I thought I was cynical before, but TLC has taken it to another level. The many blogs I have read since this started have been very revealing.
Can anyone tell me, though, why so many people feel the need to take up blog space and my time reading how they do not even know what everyone is talking about and, therefore, we must all be insane? Just wondering.
This post is all wrong.
A. even if a contract was signed, that is not the definition of an ‘open’ marriage.
B. if you know anything about them and how seriously they take their religion, you know that they would not enter into such a thing. My thoughts are either they will be married or not be married. Cheating doesn’t necessarily have any bearing on the marriage contract, as theirs was religious, not state approved.
C. I don’t think there’s any need for ‘pretending’ at this point. Everything is pretty much out there and they are both being watched 24/7.
D. no one has to, but they were some pretty regular people not seeking or asking for fame like most of the reality tv whores, but then things went to crap. It’s sad, because there are gonna be serious things resulting from this, notably the kids. Most reality tv shows are crap where nothing is really important, in the long run.
And as E! just reported, this is a story that no one knows how it will end, including those on the show. And the fact that a lot of people in this country still hold that marriage is the glue to a successful society.
I don’t watch the show anymore, but this is gonna be interesting when in the way it ends (which may be never). :(
