Katie Holmes is scheduled to shoot a horror film. Katie has signed on to star in Don’t Be Afraid Of The Dark, which is a pretty standard and cliche name for a scary movie, but oh well, work is work, right? Katie starred on Broadway last fall in “All My Sons” and just finished wrapping The Extra Man with Kevin Kline.

According to Variety, Don’t Be Afraid Of The Dark is “based on a 1973 ABC telepic about a young girl who moves in with her father and his girlfriend and discovers they are sharing the house with devilish creatures.”
The script was written by Guillermo del Toro, who is behind other fantasy/sci-fi/horror flicks like Pan’s Labyrinth, Hellboy and Blade 2.
