Shia LaBeouf has a permanently injured hand due to a car accident last summer. Last July, Shia was involved in a pretty messy collision, where he was arrested on suspicion of a DUI, and then narrowly escaped the charge because the accident wasn’t his fault and nobody could prove he was actually wasted. Whatever (eye roll).

However, karma seems to have caught up with Shia. He now has a permanently damaged hand. Shia told Playboy via people.com:
“I can’t zipper my zipper or button my shirt without extreme pain. But I chalk it up as my own s—. These things had to happen. This accident is what I needed in my life. I’m not in control. For the first time, I can admit that and know that. I’m a fallible individual, and the hand is like a tattoo that says MISTAKE.” He adds, “It’s something I’ll have to live with for the rest of my life.”
Now if that isn’t a living, breathing reminder to not drink and drive we’re not so sure what is.
