Ashlee Simpson Wentz apologized to Michelle Trachtenberg after she went postal on her Monday night. OK, Ashlee didn’t go postal, but she flipped out and Michelle took the brunt of a few harsh words, according to a few spies near the ‘scene’.

Ashlee and Pete were sitting right behind Michelle and her current boyfriend. It appeared they were friendly until Michelle made a remark that Ashlee didn’t like, which then she went nutso over. Gossip sites are saying it was a catfight, Ashlee’s rep says it was nothing. But if it was nothing, why did she need to apologize? From OK! Magazine:
“It was just a misunderstanding,” her rep explains to OK!. “Ashlee has since apologized to Michelle and they remain on good terms.”
Hmmm, do you think Ashlee really blew up or her papa Joe Simpson trying to smooth it over so as to not hurt her already damaged career? Can an ex-girlfriend and current wife ever really be on good terms?
