Beyonce cancelled a very expensive New York City show with little to no notice. Beyonce was slated to perform at New York City nightclub M2 and backed out at the last minute. While a show cancellation is always a bummer, M2 owner Joey Morrissey is steamed and claims Beyonce caused him to lose thousands of dollars.

Morrissey told Page Six he sold several thousand dollar seats and spent $100, 000 preparing the stage and sound system. Beyonce offered to make an appearance at the club and hang out but reneged on any singing commitments.

As a result, Morrissey says he’s now preparing to file suit against Beyoncé, claiming his place has suffered a “loss of reputation” in addition to the sunk cash. “We had an overwhelming response from our clubgoers, who were lining up to buy tickets and tables. This will come as a great disappointment to all of them,” he claims, adding, “If Beyoncé cancels and doesn’t give us a new date, this hurts our credibility in night life.”
