Jennifer Garner got defensive and upset when director Kevin Smith made a series of disparaging jokes about Garner’s husband, Ben Affleck. Jennifer and Kevin worked together on Catch and Release back in 2006, and didn’t share the same sense of humor.

Kevin Smith blew off steam by playfully jabbing Ben Affleck in front of Garner. She got so upset she threatened to kick his ass, he said. Smith via The New York Daily News said:

According to Smith, Ben Affleck is the dirtiest birdy of them all.
I remember talking to Ben and being like, ‘I know your lady is not finding me amusing. Ben, I’ve known you for years, and you are far sicker than I am!’ His jokes are way dirtier than mine. He’s made jokes to me, and I’ve been like, ‘Ben, you need to go to church.’”
