Jennifer Hudson confirms her pregnancy! The former American Idol and her fiance David Otunga are expecting. Jennifer has been “no comment” on pregnancy rumors since the spring, when she looked overly robust in a concert. A family friend confirmed the news for her over the weekend.

The good news is welcome for Jennifer, who was faced with the murder of her mother, brother and nephew in October. From the Chicago Tribune:
A weekend baby shower in downtown Chicago confirmed what has long been rumored: Jennifer Hudson is pregnant.
“It was a baby shower, a quiet gathering of friends and mostly family,” singer/actress Felicia Fields, a longtime Hudson friend, said of Saturday’s get-together in a relative’s home. “They’re really trying to keep it kind of quiet.”
That is so cool! Congratulations Jennifer and David! Do you think their bay will be a singer like mama? No word on the sex of the baby as the couple is wanting a surprise. I hope the friend was authorized to spill the beans for Jennifer!
