Paris Hilton and Doug Reinhardt have split up. At least, according to Paris and her rep they have split up. Doug was in the dark when asked several hours later about his girlfriend. Poor Doug…he never saw it coming.

Paris and Doug seemed to be happy when photographed together over the weekend. But we all know how Paris can change quickly…and with their six-month anniversary approaching, it was time! According to the Press Association:

The news is confirmed by the Hilton spokesperson, who told People.com: “In response to the inquiry on whether Paris Hilton has split up with Doug Reinhardt, yes, this is true – they are no longer together… They remain friends and ask that you please respect their privacy.”

But it appears that Hills hottie Doug may have been in the dark about the split, as when asked by E! about the split hours later, he replied: “No, that’s not true… Everything is OK between us.”

So, was Doug lying because he didn’t think it made the media already or was he truly in the dark over it? That’s not so cool if Paris dumped him via media release!
