David Carradine’s family is outraged that a photo has been published that shows Carradine hanging. A Thai tabloid newspaper published the photo Saturday, shadowing much of the dead actor’s body, but still showing explicit details of the death scene as reports by Radar Online.
Photo: David Carradine with his wife, Annie Bierman
Carradine, 72 was in Bangkok filming at the time of his death. Sources close to Carradine told Radar Online that David had a history of engaging in auto-erotic asphyxiation, a potential deadly sexual practice that often involves a rope around the neck.
The shocking published photo shows Carradine with his hands tied in front of him, hanging from the support bar in a closet. Tattoos on the lower half of his nude body can be seen.

I saw the photo. It was in Thai Rath, a local tabloid. The report from Radar Online is inaccurate. His hands were tied above his head, not in front of him – that was clear in the photo. And what’s with the headline of this story? The police didn’t publish the photo. It was probably leaked by a crime scene photographer.
