“Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen” hits theaters today! The Transformers sequel is one of the most anticipated movies of the summer if not the most; it should be nothing less than a huge box-office hitter. Exhibitor Relations expects a five-day U.S. box office total of $175 million (including a $110 million weekend haul) as reports by Forbes.

The giant robot action-adventure film starring Shia LaBeouf and Megan Fox opens today in 4,000 theaters in the US. Transformers 2 is said to have cost $200 million to make according to the Internet Movie Database. 

The Transformers sequel topped the international box office over the weekend with a $20million total, despite only having been launched in Britain and Japan. Looks like that $200 will be pretty much covered in a week’s time, not too shabby I must say.
