Black Eyed Peas are accused of plagiarism. Now lawyers are even involved and it doesn’t look good for Fergie, will.i.am and the others, especially when all the details start emerging. A lawsuit is probably brewing and here is why…
More pictures of Fergie after the skip…
Will.i.am went to hear a group called Freeland play last year. Amazingly enough, one of the songs on the Black Eyed Peas new album sounds eerily familiar. According to The Daily Swarm:
Turns out, Adam Freeland seems to agree that his track was bitten. If you check out the tracks next to each other, as he suggests, it seems very apparent that the Black Eyed Peas have straight up sampled the whole track as a backing to their vocals, and it could hardly even be considered a rearrangement.
While representatives for the Peas have yet to be contacted about whether they tried to clear the sample, Adam sent a Twitter message earlier today to share that he is more than suspicious as well…
Didn’t will.i.am have a problem with stealing vocals or music before? I think the rest of the Peas need to keep him out of clubs so he doesn’t accidentally lift more music from up and comers.
