Britney Spears is boycotted by the Danish press. Britney held a concert in Denmark last night, but angered the press by releasing rules – strict rules – which they were going to have to abide by. And since these rules regarding Britney’s images were so strict, they decided to forgo her concert and subsequent coverage of it.

More pictures of Britney after the song…

Since the press boycotted the show, we don’t even know how it went! The Associated Press said:

Dagens Nyheter, Svenska Dagbladet, Expressen and Aftonbladet say they won’t send photographers to the show unless Spears agrees to scrap certain conditions on how the images can be used.

The contract bars the papers from reselling the pictures and from publishing them more than 30 days after the concert.

Dagens Nyheter photo editor Roger Turesson said Friday “the next step would be to tell critics they can’t write anything critical.”

I can understand that Britney’s handlers would like her to have a favorable image in the press, but when you have rules like this, it backfires on you.  This scrutiny of how tight security and contact to Britney is only making it worse for her, I fear.

These pictures aren’t from Denmark, they are from a previous show.
