Christian Bale looking pale and gaunt for his role as boxer-turned trainer-turned-drug addict Dickie Eklund in “The Fighter,” Christian looks to have dropped even more weight as he is spotted on the film set in Boston, Massachusetts yesterday than when we posted his shockingly thin photos a couple weeks back.

The Welsh actor, who is notorious for transforming his body for his various film roles, looked weak and sallow, walking around set today, with heavy dark bags under his eyes. Has Bale taken this role too far? The price of being an actor. It’s rosy but very demanding. We hope his health won’t be affected.

He looks really ill which is a bad example to his fans, we have enough celebrity people who are trying to look like size 0 where there fans are following and now we have this, it is very dangerous
Christian Bale is well known for transforming his body for different roles. He went down to 45kg for the Machinist and apparently only ate an apple and a cup of coffee a day to get there. But only 5 months later he got up to 100kg for his role in Batman Begins. Pretty epic

i think that as long as he is consulting his nutritionist, which he would have to have when any celebrity has to drop that much weight, production companies can have a law suit on their hands if any permanent health problems strike the acto in question. in Christians case, he is a very professional intelligent man who can know the difference between playing a role, & causing harm to himself. its a fine line, judging by the photos, but if i was in his position, its not the $$$ but the art form thats worth the risk of crossing that line. the bottom line is its his body. he’s doing his job that he agreed to on contract. if u are his fan u will respect him, if not then u are envy stricken & just out to bash someone for something to do.
