Katie Holmes escapes a fiery injury on the set of her movie. Katie is down under in Australia filming a horror film that in reality turned in to a horror. A horror of a movie and it hasn’t been released yet! Katie is A OK though.

It seems the car battery exploded and sent everyone running, including Katie. According to Radar Online:

Actress Katie Holmes narrowly escaped injury on the set of her upcoming movie, Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark, in Victoria, Australia over the weekend.

Holmes was shooting a scene inside a car when the vehicle’s battery exploded — sparking smoke and fumes — before the car then caught fire.

The exploding battery was not a part of the film.

I think if it was supposed to be part of the film, a stunt double would have been used for Katie, don’t ya think? In this movie she is stalked by evil gnomes… Hold your comments. Will you be seeing Katie’s next flick?
