Lindsay Lohan turned down the starring role in the summer blockbuster The Hangover. Lindsay, who hasn’t had a hit move since, er, um. Hmm. Well. Maybe Herbie Fully Loaded? Georgia Rule? Who can remember. Anyway, news sprouted all over the place this morning that Lindsay passed on the stripper role Heather Graham would later swoop up.

A snitch told usmagazine.com that Lohan saw “no potential” in the screenplay.
“A source tells Us that director Todd Phillips approached Lohan to star in the hit flick — which has raked in $205 million so far — after their mutual agent campaigned on the actress’ behalf. The agent tried hard to get Phillips to consider her,” says the source, “and when he finally agreed, Lindsay said she didn’t like the script!”
Such a shame. Although, this would’ve been LiLo‘s second stripper film role. Perhaps she’s trying to branch out? (nah)
