A SWAT Team is going to escort Michael Jackson’s body to the Staples Center Memorial. How crazy is this memorial for Michael turning out to be? A SWAT Team? What about National Security? Are fans going too crazy for this?

There isn’t a processional for Michael like there was for Princess Diana or Elvis. Not because some of Michael’s family didn’t want it, but because it would literally gridlock the city of LA. From TMZ:

We’ve just learned law enforcement has launched a plan to escort Michael Jackson’s body from Forest Lawn to the Staples Center.

The plan calls for a “heavy motorcade” with the LAPD’s SWAT team as part of the escort.

There is also a contingency plan to helicopter the body to Staples if there’s an issue of safety.

I hope everything goes well today, at least for the sake of Michael’s children. But who is going to pay for all of this?
