Walter Cronkite, Dead At 92
Legendary news anchorman, Walter Cronkite, passed away in his New York home last night. Cronkite was 92. He suffered from cerebral vascular disease. Cronkite rose to fame as the voice of CBS Evening News from 1962-1981.

According to usmagazine.com, Cronkite discovered he wanted to be a reporter “after reading an article about the adventurous world of reporters in a boys’ magazine.”
Cronkite traveled to Europe during World War II where he covered the Battle of the Bulge, the D-Day invasion and the Nuremberg Trials.
