Ashley Olsen is on the cover of September’s Marie Claire and gives her most revealing interview to date. Ashley, who is one part of the wildly successful Olsen twin empire (with Mary-Kate being the other half, of course) admits she didn’t enjoy all the publicity and felt very much like a machine during the height of the Mary-Kate/Ashley Olsen Full House craze.

Somehow Brit Brit Spears finds herself entwined in this interview, too. Ashley says she’s shocked she didn’t turn into a mini-Spears 2.0.

“I look at Britney, and I’m surprised I didn’t end up like her. Growing up,] it was almost like I was in the Army,” she laments to Marie Claire. “School, work, homework, fly to New York, get in at 2 in the morning, do a morning show at 5 a.m., then another one at 7, then a radio interview at 10.”

That sounds uber-unhealthy for a kid. Jeez, and we curse our parents for making us join Girl Scouts. Guess we had it pretty good.
