Justin Timberlake filmed a movie, The Open Road, which is set to debut on August 28th. Never heard of this flick? You aren’t alone, Timberlake quietly shot the film with Jeff Bridges and Kate Mara and out of nowhere a trailer was released a few days ago. Timberlake plays the son of an ex-baseball player who coerces who is father to take a road trip to visit his ailing mother.

While we love Timberlake on Saturday Night Live, for some reason it’s just hard to take him seriously as a dramatic actor. While he’s cute as a button, he doesn’t really possess much sex appeal or depth on the big screen. Perhaps we’re wrong. The trailer just doesn’t seem too gripping.
We’ll probably wait for Netflix with this one.
