Katy Perry signs on as American Idol Judge. Katy has been having a superb year, and guest critiquing performances on AI will be a huge career boost for her. As long as Simon Cowell doesn’t critique her work!

Katy has wacky costumes on stage, what do you think she’ll wear to be a judge? From the Daily Mail:
Perry, 24, joins Victoria Beckham, 35, as one of the guests who will occupy the fourth chair alongside the resident judges — music mogul Simon Cowell, producer Randy Jackson and songwriter Kara DioGuardi.
But Fox chairman of entertainment Peter Rice said neither Perry nor Beckham was ‘necessarily being considered for a permanent judging role’.
I don’t see why either Katy or Victoria couldn’t be a judge full time. Cheryl Cole did it for the British X factor – or some such reality show. Why can’t a star do it over here? The stars might have better insight than the ‘professionals’ do!
