One of the rumors swirling about is that Mindy McCready is to blame for leaking the Eric Dane/Rebecca Gayheart/Kari Ann Peniche sex tape. Oh, nevermind. We mean “nude tape.” Anyway, Kari Ann and Mindy McCready (a country singer) were roommates on that really classy show “Celebrity Rehab.”

Peniche is saying she and McCready got into an argument about money, and the singer swiped her hard drive. Uh oh.While the ousted beauty queen filed a stolen property report with the LAPD, McCready is claiming Peniche is a mess and the one who was stealing money from her. She told The New York Daily News:

“Kari Ann was the one that stole my hard drive and copied it to two mini-drives. She also stole money from me. I think she probably wanted to sell my music. I was the one trying to keep Kari Ann out of trouble — steering her away from drugs during the taping of the show. I was the one trying to help Rebecca and Eric get their material back. There was a bunch of high profile people on those mini-drives.”

Ugh. We don’t know who to believe. But let’s hope Eric Dane is off the bad stuff for good now.
