Mischa Barton has finally opened up about her brief hospital stint this summer. For those of you who don’t remember (all 5 of you), Mischa was taken from her Los Angeles home and plopped in a psych ward at the end of July. It was rumored she may have to drop out of her knew CW show, Beautiful Life, which would’ve been horrible. Ladies and Gentleman, Mischa hasn’t worked in eons. This show was a much needed meal ticket.

Well, Mischa blamed that little blip on garden variety stress, and a wisdom tooth surgery gone wrong. She told Time Out NY (via OK magazine):
“So with the travel, and surgery and prep for the show — it was hell. I went through a tough spot where everything compounded on me, and it was like a perfect storm, like everything was happening to me at once. The show, travel and then this fairly routine surgery that went wrong — it’s still just healing.”
However, Mischa is quick to point out that it was not (we repeate, readers) not a mental breakdown:
“I had a friend who had a quasi–nervous breakdown, but I’m not sure it’s the same thing. I’m not sure I’m capable of a full-on nervous breakdown, but it was pretty bad.”
