Paula Abdul quits American Idol. Paula confirmed the news to the world and not so shocked fans that she had finally made her decision and it wasn’t good. Well, it wasn’t good for her. I wonder what Simon Cowell will have to say?

There have been rumors for months that Paula was pissed with the show. I guess that much is true. According to her Tweet, it was a tough decision to leave:
With sadness in my heart, I’ve decided not to return to #IDOL. I’ll miss nurturing all the new talent, but most of all. I’ll miss nurturing all the new talent,but most of all being a part of a show that I helped from day1become an international phenomenon.
What I want to say most, is how much I appreciate the undying support and enormous love that you have showered upon me It truly has been breathtaking, especially over the past month I do without any doubt have the BEST fans in the entire world and I love you all
It seems like Paula is getting the short end of the stick her. Her payday is low, much lower than Simon’s or Ryan’s. I wonder about Randy Jackson’s salary. Is he happy? What’s next for Paula?
