Scarlett Johansson was a difficult child actor. According to a new biography about Robert Redford (titled Robert Redford: The Biography), the actor did not like directing a 13-year-old Scarlett on the set of The Horse Whisperer. According to the biography, Scarlett didn’t take direction and had pain-by-numbers approach to acting.

The New York Daily News poached a few quotes from the book exposing Johansson’s “constant back talk” and how her mother was supposedly a very hellish stage mom, who undermined all of Redford’s direction.
Well, at least Redford admits that Johansson has talent. So that’s something.
We can totally imagine Scarlett being difficult. Do you beleive this or think it’s all made up?
