San Diego’s District Attorney dismissed the battery and false imprisonment charges against Shawne Merriman. Late last week, Tila Tequila accused Shawne of choking her. Shawne later said he was restraining the pint-sized reality star because she was wasted drunk.

Tila says she doesn’t drink and tweeted about how the notion of her intoxicated was ridiculous. So why did the D.A. drop the charges? (via The New York Daily News)
“After a thorough review of the investigation into the Sept. 6, 2009, incident at the Poway home of Shawne Merriman, our office has determined there is insufficient evidence to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that any crime was committed,” Dumanis said in a statement. “This case is now closed. No further comment will be made.”
Something tells us this isn’t the last we’ll hear of this little debacle.
