Johnny Depp is going to be a strange pirate. Yup, Disney hooked up Johnny with a fourth installment of Pirates of the Caribbean. But the rest of the popular cast hasn’t agreed to do the movie, meaning Johnny is solo in this one for big names.

While I loved the POTC trilogy and watched them on opening night, I don’t know if a fourth is a good idea. Why didn’t they leave well enough alone? From the NY Post:
“Pirates of the Caribbean 4″ is definitely happening as Disney revealed the title at their D23 Expo today. “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides” will be emblazoned on accompanying Happy Meal cups come Summer 2011 — but there shall be no Elizabeth Swann or Will Turner action figures to collect as only Johnny Depp’s Jack Sparrow will be back.
Hmmmm, so what do you think the storyline will be? Can it be such a smash hit without Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley? I hope so. Johnny does carry movies all on his own.

The first one was great, the second was OK, the third one, I did not like.
I am bored with these “reimaginings” Sequels and prequels are, for the most part, unoriginal, often boring.
They need new ideas for this one, When I saw the 3rd one, I was like, where’s anything that even vaguely resembles originality? Bums on seats eating popcorn, that’s what all it’s about.
Ho hum.
Angelina.
Oh the story of pirates are really amazing it opens a new rock star in to our world.
