Lady GaGa Had A Cocaine Problem
Lady GaGa admits to having a pretty horrible cocaine problem back in 2005. Although it seems like Lady GaGa has been on our pop cultural radar for eons, a few years ago Stefani Germanotta (GaGa‘s birth name) was just another depressed New York University drop-out waiting for her big break.

GaGa told the Daily Mail she was so depressed that she literally holed up in her room and did drugs.
“My cocaine soundtrack was The Cure. I loved all their music, but I listened to this one song on repeat while I did bags and bags of cocaine. I didn’t think there was anything wrong with me until my friends came over and said, “Are you doing this alone?” “Um, yes. Me and my mirror.”
She credits her father as being the main force to jerk her out of the malaise.
“My father is a really powerful man, a telecom guy. So he looked at me one day and said, “You’re f***in’ up, kid.” And I looked at him and thought, “How does he know that I’m high right now?”
All of us know how the story ends. GaGa quit the coke and is now enchanting audiences all over the world wearing glued-on bubbles and Kermit the Frog heads.
