Paula Abdul made fun of Ellen DeGeneres as her opening act on VH-1′s Divas last night. Wow. So that answers the “how is Paula dealing with being replaced by Ellen” question. Ties that one up in a bow. Paula donned a blonde wig and androgynous outfit, danced out on stage and plopped down on a chair that looks suspiciously like the one Ellen uses for her daytime talk show.

After flopping on the chair, Paula reverted back to her old self and told Ellen to not hesitate if she needs some Simon pointers.
“All kidding aside, [I have] nothing but love for Ellen, and I wish you the best of luck and congratulations on your new gig,” added Abdul, who hosted the show from the Brooklyn Academy of Music in NYC.Abdul said DeGeneres could reach out to her if she ever needed advice.
“And call me! You gotta call me if you have any Simon problems, ’cause you know, I know him best,” she said.”
We gotta hand it to Paula, though. Her impersonation was spot on. Couldn’t have done it better ourselves.
