People magazine has chosen its best and worst dressed celebrities for 2009. Kate Winslet leads the pack (big shocker here) with a stellar red carpet style. Reese Witherspoon also took home a nod for “Best Short Dresses.” Cameron Diaz was given a round of applause for her choice in denim and even Lady GaGa and Katy Perry were People magazine’s “rebels.”

With Lady GaGa’s more recent VMA debacle, we’ve been sincerely wondering who is her style icon. Besides the discount bin at any Halloween costume store. She says:
“I’m inspired by ‘70s glam, decadence, skyscrapers, Madonna,” says Gaga, whose favorite designers include “Alexander McQueen, Marc Jacobs and Jean Paul Gaultier.”
On the flipside, country western cutie, Taylor Swift, who won “Best Sparkle” is drawn to girly bling. “Anything that glitters hypnotizes me,” she said.
