Tila Tequila’s ex-boyfriend Shawne Merriman still says Tila Tequila was drunk the night he allegedly choked her. Tila took to her Twitter (media’s news agency) yesterday to say Shawne attempted to choke her. Shawn’s lawyers fired back saying Tila was wasted and he was trying to protect her.

He released this statement (via People.com):

“I was concerned about her welfare given the intoxicated state she appeared to be in and I encouraged her to stay until safe transportation could be provided,” he says. “We would all do our best to help a friend if we considered their actions to be detrimental to their personal safety. I in no way caused any harm to Ms. Nguyen, however, paramedics were called and she was examined but no injuries were reported. She was released and has since returned to Los Angeles, California.”

Tila took to her Twitter and said:

I fear nothing and no one. You know that. God saw everything and God will always know the truth…..Only the truth behind those curtains….”

Who do you believe? Is this a low-rent Rihanna/Chris Brown situation or did Tequila have too much tequila and blame her Unidentified Drinking Injuries on Merriman?
