Andre Agassi was a crystal meth user when he was a tennis player. In a bombshell revelation in Agassi’s upcoming memoir, “Open, An Autobiography” to be released next month on November 9th. Former tennis pro Andre Agassi reveals that he used crystal meth regularly during the late 1990s.

In “Open”, Agassi’s honest documentation of his past: his drug use as well as his trouble relationship wit his ex-wife, Brooke Shields. The book will be excerpted in People and Sports Illustrated this week. It’s out November 9.
Agassi, 39 won the Olympic gold medal in the 1996 Atlanta Games, but didn’t win a major in 1997, dropping to No. 141 in the rankings.He resuscitated his career in 1998, making the biggest one-year jump into the top 10 in the history of the ATP rankings. The next season, Agassi won the French Open to complete a career Grand Slam, then added a second career U.S. Open title en route to finishing 1999 at No. 1. He went on to win three more Australian Open titles before finally retiring in 2006. He won more than $30 million in his career, and eight major singles titles. – Sports ESPN
Agassi is married to former Grand Slam tennis champion Steffi Graf. They have two children together.
