David Letterman confessed on his late night show earlier tonight that he had sexual relationships with his female employees and Letterman was the victim of a $2 million extortion over his affairs. I assume all these happened with Regina Lasko in the picture. Letterman has been with his longterm girlfriend Lasko since 1986, they married in March this year. They have one child, a son, Harry, born in 2003.

Three weeks ago, Letterman received a package from a sender who claimed to have information about Letterman,62 and his employees’ alleged sexual activities. The sender threatened to go public with the info if $2 million was not paid up by Letterman. Letterman tells his studio audience earlier tonight on his show.

“This morning, I did something I’ve never done in my life,” “I had to go downtown and testify before a grand jury.”
Letterman admitted to engaging in sexual relationships with his staff members in his testimony, “My response to that is, yes I have. Would it be embarrassing if it were made public? Perhaps it would.”

He added, “I feel like I need to protect these people – I need to certainly protect my family.” – via People magazine

Letterman eventually met and gave a phony $2 million check to the alleged extortionist – who was arrested on Thursday.
