David Letterman’s lover Stephanie Birkitt has been banned from the CBS set. Sources close to Stephanie deny the claims, but CBS staffers are saying otherwise. Dave is remaining mum on the situation.

Some say Stephanie is on a paid leave of absence. Others say she has been kicked off the set until they can figure out a way to deal with her. From TMZ:
Sources tell TMZ that security at CBS is well aware of Birkitt’s ban from the set.
Worldwide Pants just issued the following statement: “Stephanie is on paid leave of absence … she has not been banned from the Ed Sullivan Theatre.”
But TMZ just spoke with someone associated with security at Letterman who just told us, “Security got a verbal order that she is ‘banned’ from the property for the time being.”
Interesting. But then, what do you do with your former lover when she is still employed by you and you are married? Wait, maybe she isn’t former….

Julie Chen is just as big a scum bag, how come no one discusses what SHE did? She broke up CBS President Les Moonves’ 24 year marriage and married him herself. (Talk about serious job security.) We need to step back and remember that all women are not poor innocent victims in situations like this.
