Jesse McCartney screws up the national anthem! I guess he can cross future gigs off his calendar, since you can’t even get the most basic song right! Jesse’s career hasn’t been doing so hot lately, you’d think he would work at it a bit more.

Jesse was singing the tune for the NASCAR race in front of, oh, 100,000 fans or so. I bet a few people noticed he skipped right over one of the lines! From TMZ:
No, Jesse McCartney didn’t forget that part of the “Star Spangled Banner” today at the Pepsi 500 NASCAR race in Fontana, Calif. — but he did skip over an entire line!!!
Ooops! I guess maybe he was nervous and missed the line by accident. Don’t you practice things like that? I know stars say they get really nervous when performing the National Anthem, so maybe that’s what we can blame this on…a case of nerves by Jesse.
