Kate Beckinsale has been named 2009′s Sexiest Woman Alive by Esquire magazine. Beckinsale, the 36-year old beauty takes the crown from Halle Berry who was named last year’s sexiest. Now you wonder how does Esquire come up with the winners? I believe the editor decides. No doubt Beckinsale is very sexy!

Kate says, “This whole notion of being named Sexiest Woman Alive is going to earn me quite a beating. You can’t have that title with four brothers. I’ll get wedgies. I’m feeling that I must earn this – I need to go out and become much better at pole dancing or something.”
Kate is known for her roles in movies such as Pearl Harbor (2001), Underworld (2003) and Click (2006). Kate married film director Len Wisemen in 2004 and she has a daughter with her ex-partner Michael Sheen.
