Lindsay Lohan hopes to buy off her dad Michael Lohan. Lindsay and her mother Dina are supposedly working on a desperate deal for Michael. They want to offer him money to keep him from releasing phone conversations between himself and Dina regarding Lindsay alcohol and drug use. Uh oh. Lindsay is supposed to be clean!

This is confusing. It seems like Dina says one thing to Michael, but then another to Lindsay and the press. Is she worried about her daughter or not? Apparently not, because she wants the tapes to remain unreleased. From Lake County News:
Word has it, LiLo and her mother are scrambling to come up with a hefty financial settlement — that ”finally will shut Michael up and keep him out of the press and out of their lives forever,” said a longtime Lindsay Lohan associate.
”But I’m not that optimistic. Michael is such a loose cannon, and I don’t think they could ever raise enough money to keep him quiet — especially since he’s become so bitter and is so obsessed with Lindsay.”
I don’t think any amount of money could keep Michael quiet. He loves to talk. He would probably talk for free if it kept him in the public eye!
