Michael Jackson’s new single “This is it” is a rip-off claims music legend Paul Anka. Oops! Does the song sound familiar? I’ll let you be the judge. (Listen to both the songs “This is It” and “I Never Heard” below)

Anka tells TMZ  via Pop Eater that back in 1983, he wrote a song with Jackson titled it ”I Never Heard” — and the demo of the song was recorded in Anka’s studio. Anka says he took the tape to a studio in Hollywood to put the finishing touches on it for Anka’s duets album, “Walk a Fine Line.” Anka claims Jackson who was just blowing up at the time with “Thriller” — got a big head and “stole the tapes” from the studio.

Anka tells TMZ that he called the lawyers who repped both he and Jackson. Anka got the tapes back but insists that Michael Jackson made a copy of the tapes and used the track with his voice from “I Never Heard” — and simply retitled it, “This Is It.” Anka gave “I Never Heard” to another artist , Safire who released it in 1990.

Anka is talking with his lawyers about his legal options.

Sounds complicated. Listen to both songs and tell me what you think.

Well they wrote it together and deals went on behind everybody’s back so he or she could be lieing about jackson stealing those tapes.

They maybe just want to ride on the popularity of michael jackson and try to dwindle him out of some quick cash. Afteral the man is DEAD!!! and is not here to DEFEND HIMSELF!!! to tell what went on or I HONESTLY BELIEVE MICHAEL JACKSON WROTE THIS SONG!!! and he or she add a word or two.

to me and my opinion alone, i feel this is certainly a breach of copy right by Micheal Jackson. reasons why. the style of music is the same, the mere changing of a few words does not make it a differant song. play both tracks together at the same time and you will see very little change.

Oh dear….cue all the blinded MJ fans mindlessly defending him.

Fact is, MJ hasnt released this song, he is, as many of you have already noticed, dead.

So no one is trying to diddle poor dead MJ out of his couple of changed words. Everyone knows this was an ancient track. Turns out there was a reason why it wasn’t released. Methinks someone is trying to pull a fast one or someone has fooked up not knowing the back story.
