Nicole Richie and Joel Madden DID NOT get married. The blogosphere and tabloid world was all a go-go about this Nicole and Joel secret wedding, coupled by the People magazine unveiling the first pictures of her baby boy, Sparrow. It was Richie-heavy week in gossip land.

Star magazine reported this morning that the two had a “kooky at-home ceremony” and that she will soon be going by the name Nicole Madden. Leave it to competitor usmagazine.com to laugh in their faces after trolling Joel‘s blog:
“I keep getting emails from old friends and family asking about a wedding. NO we didn’t get married,” Joel Madden blogs…and also said on Larry King Live, “We’re really focused on our family, and … we already feel kind of married, you know? Our family system that we have down, we feel like this is a real family and marriage, one day it will come.”
